Education and social development have been a defining focus of Ashok Kamath’s journey from the corporate world to the development sector. Since 2008, he has served as Chairman of Akshara Foundation, providing strategic leadership for its growth and program expansion. Before moving into the social sector, Ashok was Managing Director of Analog Devices India, building a successful corporate career after graduating from IIT-Bombay. His contributions to education and social development have been recognised through several honours, including the Distinguished Alumnus Award from IIT-Bombay, the Namma Bengalurean award, and the Satyendra K. Dubey Memorial Award. He is also a Co-Founder and Trustee of Pratham Books and a Trustee of Shreyas Foundation. At Dhwani Foundation, Ashok serves on the Advisory Board, contributing his experience in education, leadership, and social development.
